gave the impression of her being close to me
and I still wonder why we believed
were we really in love or were we just naive?
we suffered a fall from grace
could never attain that taste
no matter how hard we tried
it will always be that way
when a relationship is broken into two
attempts are futile as we try to evade the truth..

but not any more

The gap between us was the wall that held us back
we tried to break it down but it still remained in tact
